Bill & Teresa Karapetrides

Bill Karapetrides

Bill was born and raised in Alexandria, Egypt to a Greek family. A trip to close family members brought him to Canada, where he remained for almost 20 years. There, he studied English Literature (BA Hons) at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario.

Teresa Monterosso

Teresa was born and raised in Quebec, Canada to an Italian family. The multilingual environment in which she grew up ignited her love of languages. She studied English, French and Italian Literature (BA Hons), as well as a Bachelor of Education at Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario. There, she met her future husband, Bill, and later had their two children, Corina and Anthony.

Tired of Canada’s severe winters, they decided to come to Greece with the whole family in 1989. In September of that year, they opened the first BRITANIA language school in Voula, and the story continues to this day, more than 30 years later.

Our experienced and well-trained teachers also play a key role in our philosophy. Our teachers are all native speakers and are selected based on their experience, education and ability to create a pleasant environment in the classroom.
